Cuba reports 71 new Covid-19 cases and one death

The Ministry of Public Health of Cuba (Minsap) reported this Tuesday 71 new positive cases with Covid-19, after the study of nine thousand 071 samples in the country’s molecular biology laboratories.

The entity’s web site informed that at the end of yesterday, three thousand 131 patients were admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 659 suspects, 2 thousand 085 in surveillance and 387 confirmed. The country accumulates one million 051 thousand 530 samples made and 7 thousand 950 positive ones.

Of the total number of cases, 40 were contacts of confirmed cases, 29 with a source of infection abroad and two without a precise source of infection.

Of the 71 diagnosed cases, they were female 36 and male 35. 62.0% (44) of the patients were asymptomatic accumulating a total of four thousand 984 which represents 62.7% of those confirmed to date.

Of the 7,950 patients diagnosed with the disease, 387 remain confirmed, 384 of them with stable clinical evolution. There are reported 133 deaths (one of the day), two evacuated, 72 discharges of the day, 7 thousand 428 recovered patients (93.4%) and three patients in intensive care (one critical and two severe).
