Today Justice Voices Celebrate Lula Da Silva’s Release
Contramaestre, Nov.08.- Today all of Cuba and all of Latin America celebrates the release of Luis Inácio Lula Da Silva, former president of Brazil, after unjustly serving a political prison sentence in the Federal Police Superintendency of Curitiba, capital of the southern state of Paraná.
Joy overflows and faith in reason and truth grows and spreads. The struggle of his people, the international campaigns, including the signing collected in many parts of the world, and the reasons given by the defense that incessantly asked for his release, made it possible for him to return to freedom, who did only good to his people in his role as president of the South American Giant.
The voices of freedom are rising; the creators of the extreme right-wing fabrications in Latin America tremble, who with the support of the U.S. government, unleash the ruthless struggle against everything that smells left-wing.
The Cuban people always showed solidarity with Lula Da Silva and throughout the country signatures were collected on a document that demanded the freedom of the Brazilian ex-president. And on the other hand, we supported all the campaigns organized in other parts of the world. And many events held on the island were propitious scenarios to express the solidarity of our people with Lula’s cause.
Today we celebrate the triumph of justice!
