In Cuba, top leaders of Guatemalan sports
With the objective of initiating a cooperation agreement, the top sport leaders of the Republic of Guatemala began an official visit to Cuba on Thursday night.
The delegation of the Central American country is headed by the president of the Autonomous Sports Confederation of Guatemala (CDAG), Julio Fernando Cáceres Grajeda, and the head of the Olympic Committee of that nation, Gerardo Aguirre Oestmann, who tomorrow will sign agreements with their counterparts.
This Friday the visitors will know details about the community physical activity and visit the Center for Scientific Research of Cuban Sports.
They will also be transferred to the Anti-Doping Control Laboratory, where they will receive extensive information about the work carried out in recent years by this international reference center, and they will meet with authorities of the sector on the Island.
Cuba and Guatemala have maintained a beneficial exchange for both parties in the sports field, so this visit will further strengthen collaboration in this area.
The president of the Autonomous Sports Confederation of the Central American nation was received at the José Martí International Airport by the Inder President, Osvaldo Vento Montiller, and the rector of the Olympic Committee by the director of High Performance of the Cuban sports organism, José Antonio Miranda.
