Continued World Support for Venezuelan Government

The dignified and sensible world is moving in defense of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the face of the attempted coup d’état orchestrated from the United States, in full and clear maneuver that tries to disappear the example of Bolivar’s Homeland for all of Latin America and the world.

Support from Turkey

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declares himself scandalized by U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó as president in charge.

In a press conference with the president of Malta, Erdogan reiterated his support for the harassed President Nicolás Maduro.

He believed that Maduro will overcome the crisis and will receive the support of the people “if he remains strong on the path in which he believes.”

Erdogan also said that Maduro did not hesitate to call him and visit Turkey to give them support after the attempted coup in 2016.

Support from the Podemos Party in Spain

The Spanish political party, Podemos, fixed its position on the recent aggression of the U.S. government against Venezuela.

Through a statement published on its website, Podemos stated that Spain and Europe must defend international law, dialogue and peaceful mediation against the coup d’état in Venezuela.

In addition, they expressed that the president of the United States, Donald Trump and his allies, cannot turn the South American country into the new Iraq, Libya or Syria.

Backing from Military Commands and Estates

Along with the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), various Venezuelan ranks and military commanders today expressed their support for President Nicolás Maduro while denouncing the coup plans of the opposition, backed by the United States.

The Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino, ratified Thursday the commitment of the FANB to the Constitution and disregard for any illegal act.

We will never accept a self-proclaimed president, warned Padrino, in allusion to the announcement of the opposition deputy Juan Guaidó to declare himself “president in charge” of this South American country.

The Comprehensive Aerospace Defense Command (CODAI) also spoke on Twitter.

El Salvador Government Supports Venezuela

The President of the Republic of El Salvador, Salvador Sánchez Cerén, expresses his full support to the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in view of the tense political situation faced by this Latin American nation,’ the Salvadoran leader said in a communiqué.

The text adds that Maduro triumphed in the presidential elections held in Venezuela on May 20, 2018, with more than 60 percent of the votes, making his government the ‘only legitimate’ in the country. Sánchez Cerén also said that his government joins the countries that support a solution to the conflict in Venezuela ‘without foreign intromission and through dialogue between the different sectors of Venezuelan society’.

Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin offers his support to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The Kremlin said Putin, in a phone call, “expressed support for the legitimate government of Venezuela in the midst of the acute political crisis provoked from abroad.

He stressed that “destructive foreign intromission tramples on the fundamental norms of international law.

Putin called for “overcoming differences in Venezuelan society through peaceful dialogue,” according to the Kremlin communiqué.

He added that the two leaders stressed their intention to “continue Russian-Venezuelan cooperation in various spheres.

The OAS

Only a minority of OAS members approved the resolution endorsing the coup d’état in Venezuela. The majority of these countries were against the meddling and coup actions led by the U.S. government against Venezuela.

Out of the 34 countries that make up the organization, 18 did not sign the resolution that was also approved by a minority of 16 countries, with the purpose of increasing the siege against Venezuela.
