China will launch missions to the Moon and Mars

Beijing, July 8 (Latin Press) China will launch another space probe to the Moon later this year to take soil samples and in 2020 will send its first mission to Mars to detect signs of life, a specialized publication reported today.

According to the Science and Technology Daily, the Chang’e-5, which weighs almost 8.9 tons and is equipped with artificial intelligence technology, will reach the Earth’s natural satellite.

Once there, it should gently touch the surface, perform its collection work and then return to the Earth station.

The scientific team in charge of the project has already solved all the technical problems presented by the device and assured that it is ready for the new phase of lunar exploration.

If it performs as expected, a sixth mission will follow to the north pole of the star to determine the age of the soil, the composition of the solar wind, the isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, helium and oxygen.

In the meantime, a seventh will focus on the far north and look to find out if there is ice in the unknown part.

An eighth project, in addition to scientific studies and experiments, will test key technologies to lay the groundwork for building a science and research base involving humans and robots in the 2030s.

On the other hand, the Asian giant is preparing the Mars mission for 2020 with the aim of determining whether it is possible to transform it in some way so that human life can be accommodated in the future.

The explorer will study the atmosphere, environment and geological characteristics of the red planet in order to look for clues about its origin and evolution.
