Elderly in Contramaestre exhibit peace and welfare
The elderly people with accreditation at the level of the sports teams in each of the districts of Contramaestre municipality met today in the recreational area “La Esquina Caliente” located on Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue, to express through physical exercise the repudiation to the lies of Yankee imperialism with the Helms Burton Act and the economic blockade.
A message of peace, unity and commitment towards each challenge from the longest-lived of the family was captured in the competition scenario.
The story was another detail that marked the firm and vigorous step of the grandfathers and grandmothers to leave the image of July 26 with the colors red and black, the call to peace was materialized with the pigeons that in free flight described the legacy of commander in chief Fidel Castro, with a celestial journey and revolutionary purity.
The creativity in the elderly was another element to highlight, when they took out instruments to work the land, as a symbol of the Cuban peasants, that day by day, maintain in force the Agrarian Reform Law and take out the main products for the food for the people.
This is how we lived today a moment of transcendental importance in the attention to the elderly, considered the main guides of the family in an indissoluble unit with the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) in the city of Contramaestre.
