Angel Michel Milanés from Contramaestre, Taekwondo prospect in Cuba

Angel Michel Milanés Cardosa, is a student who finished 7th grade with excellent results in study and sports, so he was awarded the distinction of Most Integral Student of his year in the Secondary School Pepito Tey Basic in Contramaestre.

Milanés Cardosa, despite his young age during the recently concluded academic year (2018-2019), achieved two important successes, rarely achieved by the same individual. He took part in the National Taekwondo Championship in the 11-12 category, and in the National Mathematics Competition, where he won a gold medal in each of them.

According to his teacher guide Maideline Espinosa Martín, Milanés Cordosa makes a great effort to learn the contents of the different subjects, and hence he has excellent results, even though he spends some time practicing his sport.

This brilliant student and adolescent sportsman feels that his parents have had a lot to do with his successes, because of their unconditional support to the goal he has proposed.

He has participated in provincial and national Taekwondo competitions with second and first places. He began to practice this sport when he was only 7 years old, he has already reached the age of 13, and will make his eighth grade next school year.He also thanks his coach Emilio López Mendeja, who has take  Taekwondo in Contramaestre to  national competitions.
