Youth leaders pay tribute to Fidel Castro

As part of the anniversary activities of the pioneer* organization and that of the Young Communist League (UJC), the country’s youth leaders, led by Susely Morfa, first secretary of the National Committee of UJC, paid tribute to historic leader Fidel Castro at the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in Santiago de Cuba.

Accompanied by the highest authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba and the government of the province, the youth representatives also laid flowers in the tombs of José Martí, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and Mariana Grajales.

In the tribute to the heroes, Susely Morfa pointed out that they came to this historic place to remember Fidel, the main founder of the organization and to ratify our commitment to preserve his legacy and the work of the Cuban people.
