Vanguard Award for Los Negros Disabled People

The nineteen physically limited members of the base organ of the Cuban Association of Physically Handicapped (ACLIFIM) of the Los Negros popular council achieved the distinction of municipal vanguard for their outstanding work during 2018.
The fulfillment of the tasks entrusted by the organization, the participation in events and the unity of its associates are some aspects that endorse the results. These are accomplishments coupled with the responsibility and dedication of the members of this grassroots body belonging to the municipality of Contramaestre.
The ACLIFIM members in Los Negros enjoy a real possibility of participating and competing with their peers in the province of Santiago de Cuba and within the Contramaestre municipality itself, and to have results recognized by the authorities at these two instances.

This base association achieves the gradual insertion of its members to the society, who make their contribution without their incapacity interfering in such purpose. The “Colors of the Soul” workshop also allows them to develop and make available to the public their works that are already present in centers of study and work in many cases.

For the eleventh consecutive time, the ACLIFIM of Los Negros reached the condition of “Municipal Vanguards”, as a result of its systematic participation in political-cultural activities, as well as the unity and harmony of its associates.

This distinction is a deserved acknowledgement of the responsibility with which the association has worked during 2018, with its dedication to collective work and individual attention to each member.
