Contramaestrian students to exercise national defense
The Federation of High School Students (FEEM) in Contramaestre began to develop the Student Bastion, an exercise for the defense of the homeland, which each pre-university and technical and vocational education center performs systematically.
The student bastion will run until March 20 and it will include special morning chats, watching audiovisuals on social indiscipline, the presentation of scientific societies and of the municipal ceremony platoon.
An equally important activity of the Bastion will be discussions with female students on the topic of voluntary military service for women.
At the same time, this bastion pays homage to martyrs of the homeland who fell in combat for Cuba’s independence.
The Student Bastion aims, among other things, to contribute to the formation of young people committed to the Cuban Revolution. It seeks to strengthen values, to confirm their willingness to defend the conquests for which so many Cubans offered their lives.
