Contramaestre’s Government Renders Accounts
The Contramaestre government, municipality of the province of Santiago de Cuba, will evaluate successes and failures in the administration and execution of social and economic programs, when the 13 districts of this demarcation render accounts.
The meetings, for the demarcations of legal and constitutional competence, will also arise with the presence of the delegates of constituencies and the administrative headquarters of the local entities.
The accountability of district presidents to the local government authorities evaluates the management of those who represent the people from the grassroots, deal with their concerns, complaints and proposals and defend their interests, as provided for in the comprehensive program for the improvement of People’s Power.
The provision of services to the population by State agencies will also be the subject of these accountabilities, which in each term, occur at least twice a year.
The presidents of districts, delegates of constituency and government authorities of Contramaestre, likewise, will assess aspects such as the fight against crime, corruption and social indisciplines, policy of saving energy carriers, consumer protection and programs for food security of the territory.
The exchanges will also ratify what Cuban President Miguel Díaz Canel said at the closing of the Third Ordinary Period of the Cuban Parliament in its Ninth Legislature when he said: “In this new stage the key is in the territory, in the municipality, in local development, aware that everything that is generated and advanced there, benefits the people more directly.
