Contramaestre prepares pension increase

The Municipal Branch of Social Security of Contramaestre is preparing to materialize the increase in pensions of the general regime, based on the Cuban government’s measure based on an increase in remuneration to the budgeted sector.

Miguel Perez Garcia, director in the office of the National Institute of Social Security, INASS, of this municipality explained that the necessary readjustments are already made in the paying institutions (bank branches, postal units and currency exchange), to assume the procedures established to make effective the increase to those pensions under 500 pesos.

The INASS authority in Contramaestre added that the directors of the agencies involved in the payment to retirees benefited with this action, are given a folding with the information inherent to this process, which includes the pensioners of the general social security system with the exception of those corresponding to the self-employed sector and land usufructuaries.

Perez Garcia clarified that the increase in pensions by the general social security system implies a change in the document known as a checkbook for each of these holders, which emphasized that they must collect the amounts of coupons accumulated until July 2019.

This measure has been very well received by the Contramaestre’s budgeted sector due to its positive impact for the beneficiaries, families, people and society as a whole. This is even more so when its validity takes into account payments as of this July, as guaranteed by the top leadership of the Cuban State.
