Contramaestre constitutes Municipal Electoral Council
With a solemn act in the Municipal Museum “Jesús Rabí”, in Baire, the Municipal Electoral Council was constituted in Contramaestre. Important moment that responds to the novelties of the structure of government in Cuba included in the Constitution of the Republic.
In the presence of Reynaldo Gelkis Sarmientos, representative of this electoral structure in the province of Santiago de Cuba, the constitutive ceremony took place, as well as the inauguration of the position and the swearing in by the 17 members of Contramaestre’s jurisdiction.
Julio César García García, elected by the Governing Body as president of the referred Council, read the oath that implies working with attachment to the Electoral Law, Law number 127.
It will correspond to this electoral structure in the Contramaestre municipality to develop the democratic processes: parliamentary elections, popular consultations, plebiscites and referendums called by the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba.
