Carnival Contramaestre 2018 closed with the performance of the Charanga Santiaguera in the central square of this city this Sunday night. The popular local orchestra made an audience dance, who were delighted with each piece of popular dance music, as well as the merengue, a gift from the Dominican Republic in the Cuban music spectrum.

Those present, including the subscriber, were in constant interaction with the Charanga Santiaguera, which provided several moments of artistic dialogue with its touch of good Cuban humor.

Contramaestrians bid farewell to their 2018 Carnival, after having enjoyed a wide range of gastronomic and artistic options with which they celebrated the accomplishments of an entire year of hard work in all areas such as public health, sports, education and food production.

At the same time, Contramaestre is preparing to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution this January 1st.
