Contramaestre Stresses the Social Contents of the Draft Constitution

The popular consultation on the Draft Constitution is taken as an opportunity to raise issues inherent to everyday life, with emphasis on aspects of the economic reality and the social rights of citizens.

Taking as a starting point the Seventh Title, article 164, about the territorial organization of the State, Contramaestrians consider that the use of the financial amount that enters the local budget by means of taxes on property income can contribute favorably to the solution of local social needs.

The essence of such approaches is based on very specific recurrences such as access and improvement of recreational facilities and services, among others.

Article 164 of the Draft Constitution states that the autonomy of the municipality includes the election of its authorities, the power to decide on the use of its resources and the exercise of the competences corresponding to the municipality, in accordance with the Constitution and the Law.
