National Association of Innovators and Rationalisers (ANIR)

ANIR: Organization to promote and orient the creative initiative of Cuban workers towards the search for solutions to important economic and social problems and for the defense of the country. It is a social, voluntary and selective organization where its members approve their own regulations, discuss and reach agreements, periodically elect their leaders and agree on their directives under the principles of centralism and trade union democracy. It operates under the direction of the CTC and it is governed by its statutes.

1. To develop to the maximum the creative initiative of the workers, in such a way that it favors the development of innovations, rationalizations or solutions in function of the saving of resources of all type, the recovery and manufacture of equipment, machineries and spare parts and the maintenance of the existing technologies; in such a way that they allow the increase of the production, the productivity of the work, the substitution of imports and the best productive practices.

2. Organize innovators and rationalizers with the active participation of the trade union in those labor collectives with conditions for it.

3. To disseminate incessantly the efforts made by innovators and rationalisers in order to favour the generalization of their results and for them to be recognized and stimulated in a timely manner by their work.
