University of Contramaestre for local development
Contramaestre, Nov.21.- In the Balance of Science, Innovation and Postgraduate of the Municipal University Center (CUM) of Contramaestre, the Subdirector of Research and Postgraduate, MSc Rubicel Segura Segura, offered an extensive explanation of how much has been done in research.
Segura Segura emphasized the two fundamental work sub-lines: the improvement of training processes and the integrated management of local development; as well as the participation of professors in national and international scientific events, which allowed to increase the visibility of the results of the CUM.
The event recognized the innovative contributions made by students and professors of the University Center, where Dr. Alexander Gorina Sanchez stands out as the most highlighted in scientific research and innovation.
The Contramaestre municipal government facilitates the conditions and coordination for the application of the results of research carried out by students and university professors, putting science in function of social development.
Segura Segura says that “the object of the sub-line of the training processes is the management of the training processes that affect the CUM Contramaestre, promoting the fulfillment of its social mission. The great strength of this sub-line of research is the staff of professors with experience in various key topics…”.
According to the CUM official the results on all fronts are growing. More than 15 papers were published in scientific journals. The work of the CUM is linked to municipal entities and organizations, as well as to the University of Oriente, the main campus.
During the previous school year, professors presented papers at different municipal, provincial, national and international events. The visibility of the results was increased by putting them on universal access platforms in the Internet.
“We also have the other sub-line, in which the CUM works, is the integrated management of local development that has as its object the scientific dynamics of science research in the CUM Contramaestre (…) The strength of this sub-line is a greater cooperativeness with the labor inclusion of students in the search for solutions to territorial problems. Hence two projects at the business level, which facilitates the financing and management of local development. CUM professors and students participate here”, according to Segura Segura.
