Members of the national group of the popular movement of Cuban agriculture visited the thirteen popular councils that make up this territory of the province of Santiago de Cuba. In the field, they evaluated each of the 19 subprograms that lead to fast and direct ways of producing crops and greens through intensive orchards, organoponics, plots, yards and semi-covered units.
The delegation checked other elements such as soil and water use, organic fertilizers, agroecological practices and seeds. They also examined consumption in the production centers of the AZCUBA sugar group, in educational and health institutions, in farms and other units of interest in Contramaestre.
