Contramaestre economists for better management

The members of the National Association of Cuban Economists and Accountants (ANEC) in Contramaestre have among their challenges to contribute to the effectiveness of the new management model undertaken by the Cuban nation to achieve a more prosperous and sustainable society.

Rafael Cala Machirán, president of this agency in Contramaestre, said that this non-governmental association also has the task of raising the scientific level of its professionals in order to raise their scientific level so that they can carry out the economic activities of the municipality and solve quickly and effectively the different problems that may come up.

In response always to the interests of the common people, the accountants and economists of Contramaestre contribute to the implementation of the guidelines approved in the seventh Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC). With this purpose they counsel both the administrations of the productive sector and that of the services.

Cala Machirán, a prominent economist and president of ANEC in Contramaestre, explained that the local organization also works with the non-state sector in order to provide knowledge about economic sciences, and to ensure that private businesses offer the population a quality service, while ensuring that the activity is profitable.

The ANEC of Contramaestre pays priority attention to the agricultural sector, the main economic line of the municipality, since it is the one encharged of producing food and vegetables for more than one million people in Santiago de Cuba and of 105,000 in this locality.

The members of the ANEC of Contramaestre are aware of their primary social function: to achieve a greater economic culture of the citizens, allowing them to better understand the changes and transformations in their society.

Last November 26th, Economist’s Day in Cuba, accountants and Contramaestre economists remembered the date with a scientific workshop whose purpose was to promote excellence in the implementation of the changes and transformations of the new economic management model that the country inexorably needs.
