The number of Russian tourists increases to Varadero, Cuba
Varadero, Cuba.- Russian tour operator Coral Travel will begin operations in Varadero, the largest in Cuba, through the company Meeting Point and under the representation of the local travel agency Cubatur, as reported today.
Through a press release, the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) indicated here that the opening flight will be next August 10 using the platform of the Royal Fligh airline, which will use a Boing 777 aircraft with capacity for 492 passengers.
Every 10 days, the new route will connect the itinerary from Moscow, the Russian capital, to the Juan Gualberto Gomez International Airport in Varadero, and the arrival at the opening is scheduled for 7.45 am (local), said the source.
This flight will reinforce the growth of this market in the country’s main sun and beach destination, which ratifies its preference for the same and the excellence of tourist services offered,’ said the note of Mintur.
As everyone knows, this issuing market is among the most significant of our foreign visitors to the destination and it is a reason for rejoicing that continues to strengthen its presence in Varadero,’ expanded the text.
According to data from the Varadero subsidiary of the aforementioned portfolio, Russian holidaymakers occupy the second position among foreign visitors to this locality preceded by Canada.
Varadero is located on the Hicacos peninsula on the north coast of the western province of Matanzas, about 140 kilometers east of Havana, and it has more than 50 hotel facilities with over 21,000 rooms.
The famous square, also known as the Blue Beach, is the most famous Cuban resort, has about 1,800 hectares of beach with an extension of 20 kilometers and a strip of sand of 22 meters.
