Sugar meeting to be held in Havana

Havana, Cuba. – The 5th Meeting of Cuban and Mexican Sugar Technicians will be held at the Lázaro Peña Convention Center in Havana from October 23 to 25, and representatives from India and Guatemala, among other countries, will attend.

Miguel Toledo, First Vice President of the Association of Cuban Sugar Technicians, reported that among the objectives of the meeting are to exchange experiences on good practices and to encourage the signing of agreements.

He added that the sugar meeting is totally agro-industrial and works will be discussed on all branches of the sector, including agriculture, mechanization, industry and derivatives.

Miguel Toledo explained that as a particularity of the event, this time the participants will visit a sugar center in the country to learn about the progress of the island in this area.
