Senegal ratifies support for Cuban cause against blockade

The secretary general of the Senegalese Foreign Ministry, Mame Baba Cisse, expressed his rejection to the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, in a meeting with the Caribbean ambassador in Dakar.

At the meeting, Saylín Sánchez expressed gratitude for the firm support for the fight against this policy, which constitutes the main obstacle to the economic and social development of our country.

The diplomat of the Largest of the Antilles also rejected the aggressive escalation of the U.S. Government against our people manifested in the decision to tighten unilateral sanctions under the third title of the Helms-Burton Act.

She also condemned Washington’s sustained hostility against Venezuela and the dangers that this action represents in violation of international law for regional and international peace.
