Regla Neighborhood thanks UNICEF for donating school supplies

Yuleidi Alayo Cárdenas, director of Los Peloteritos Day Care Center in Regla, affected by the tornado that damaged Havana in January, thanked Victoria Cola Marco, Program Coordinator of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), for school donations.

In an exchange with education, foreign trade and territorial authorities, the UNICEF official announced that other resources for the community and schools damaged by the natural phenomenon will soon arrive.

The UNICEF representative said that 25 didactic games and other early childhood games, 80 school games and 40 recreation games will be received from Panama and Denmark in May.

The UNICEF Coordinator, Victoria Cola Marco, added that they include social-emotional materials, hygienic-sanitary equipment, 34,000 square meters of waterproofing blanket, water tanks and other utensils.
