Accompanying the distinguished visitor were the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Andrei A. Guskov, and the Director of the Latin American Department of the Chancellery, Alexander V. Shchetinin.

On the Cuban side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, was present.
