Raúl and Díaz-Canel attend the closing of the Workers Congress

The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Army General, Raúl Castro Ruz, and the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, attended the closing ceremony of the 21st Congress of the Cuban Trade Union Confederation (CTC).

Abelardo Álvarez Gil, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCC, announced the 17 members of the Executive Secretariat of the CTC, in which Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento was ratified as its general secretary and Carmen Rosa Rodríguez as its second secretary.

Guilarte de Nacimiento expressed his gratitude for the trust and he called for daily work from trade union practice to turn the Congress’ motto into reality: Unity, Commitment and Victory.

He exhorted all workers to participate in the parades this May Day to ratify once again our commitment to the Cuban Revolution.
