Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall receive affection from Cuban people
Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camilla of Cornwall received today, in this capital, samples of affection and respect of the population. In addition, visitors were able to see how much love and effort is devoted to preserving the jewels of British motoring and how much the famous English composer and singer John Lennon is venerated.
In the park named after this member of the legendary Beatles quartet, in Vedado, Their Royal Highnesses enjoyed the exhibition of classic cars and motorcycles from the United Kingdom, with whose owners or drivers they had a dialogue, and in this sense they learned about the protagonism of the Antique Car Club in the Cuban style.
To the astonishment of dozens of residents and representatives of press, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess Cornwall came to the place (him) driving one of those jewels, an MG 1953 TD, and shortly after greeted those present, they visited the night center The Yellow Submarine and they posed next to the statue of John Lennon, located in the aforementioned park.

Along with a life-size John Lennon, seated on a bench, they relaxed and with a lost look, also posed, but smiling, His and her Royal Highnesses, who then held a brief meeting with representatives of the British community in Cuba, which was only brought to an end by the rain, after a morning full of human warmth and full of symbolism.
Prince Charles of Wales and the Duchess Camila of Cornwall have been making an official visit to Cuba since Sunday, the first of a member of the royal family, and this Monday they were received at the Palace of the Revolution by Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel, as part of an intense agenda of meetings and tours around places of socio-economic interest in Havana and other territories.
The largest of the Antilles and the United Kingdom have maintained uninterrupted historical relations since 1902, while in recent years the political dialogue between the two countries has deepened and there is a will to continue strengthening bilateral relations in all spheres.
