Dr. Rolando Martínez Stevens, director of the Hospital, delivered the opening words of the day:
“Fire prevention is everyone’s task, and a fire can always be avoided. We develop actions that allow us to materialize these and other statements about the importance of fire protection in our society (…)”.
Martinez Stevens expressed on behalf of the management and workers of the Hospital his satisfaction to know that their institution had been chosen to develop the main activities of the week, for which he has the support and guidance of the Fire Department of the municipality.
“The road has been long and exhausting, but today our hospital exhibits better results in its preventive prophylaxis, thanks to the education of its staff and directors who have put all their efforts in the endeavors of solving each of the problems identified,” said the Public Health official.
Orlando Patoja Tamayo Hospital staff do not leave a gap for a catastrophe to occur. In this way, tribute is paid to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, because at the opening of this important health center on July 22, 1988, he expressed that this would be the flagship center of the contramaestrians.
