Health Authorities Encourage Action Against Aedes Aegypti
Faced with high temperatures and rains, Cuban health authorities are urging the population to take preventive measures to stop the reproduction of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, the carrier of Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya.
They recommend cleaning and treating the elevated tanks, as well as hermetically covering all water storage tanks, using abate or bactivec, and eliminating stagnant water in backyards and rooftops.
In order to fight the Aedes Aegypti, the health authorities call on people to help with the fumigation of houses, to accompany the operator in the inspection of his home and to eliminate possible breeding places together with him/her, allowing him/her to brush the tanks and apply the bate.
Remember to go immediately to the doctor in the presence of fever, rash, headache and backache or red eyes (conjunctivitis).
