Symposium on the History of the Revolution dedicated to Fidel
Havana, Cuba. – The 3rd International Symposium The Cuban Revolution: Genesis and Historical Development, to be held in Havana, is dedicated to the work and thought of Fidel Castro Ruz and its importance for the peoples in the conquest of their sovereignty.
The event will take place 29-31 October at the Havana Convention Center, with the participation of approximately 150 specialists, 50 of them representing 21 countries, including the United States.
The objectives of the event include updating on the future of the Cuban Revolution, its challenges on the world stage, which is increasingly difficult and risky for poor nations and those struggling today for their sovereignty.
They will also make known the research being carried out in the country related to our history and its influence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Revolution and its Challenges
The International Symposium on the Cuban Revolution: Genesis and Historical Development will work in commissions, and a traveling poster exhibition called 60 Years of the Cuban Revolution will also be inaugurated.
On Tuesday 29, some topics related to the legacy of the Commander in Chief will be presented, among them Fidel Castro Ruz: The Role of Ideas in the Construction of Socialism; Thought and Execution in Fidel Castro, among others.
U.S.-Cuba Relations: The Stages of Confrontation in the Trump Era; and From Barack Obama to Donald Trump: Continuity and Adjustment in U.S. Policy Toward Cuba, will be discussed on Wednesday the 30th.
The International Symposium on the Cuban Revolution: Genesis and Historical Development is an opportunity to analyze the evolution of the Cuban revolutionary process, as well as the readjustments and updating of its economic model.
