Educational supplies available for next school year in Cuba
Havana, Cuba. – Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, Minister of Education (MINED), announced in Havana that intensive efforts are being made to ensure the necessary educational supplies for the next new school year, despite the country’s current economic limitations.
He added that priority is given to the educational supplies essential to secure an effective teaching in every level, mainly notebooks, pencils, watercolors, plasticine, temperas, the module for teachers and the work sheets for teachers and students.
When referring to the repair of furniture, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella meant that fixing program is taking place, and she affirmed that nearly 1,500 school, out of 10,000, are included in this process.
The head of MINED said that the 78 educational institutions affected by the Tornado in January in the Cuban capital have already been recovered, and they are ready for next school year.
