Diaz-Canel to dialogue with the President of the UN General Assembly

The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, will talk today in Havana with the president of the United Nations General Assembly, María Fernanda Espinosa, who is on an official visit to the Island until tomorrow.

The head of state himself announced the meeting on his Twitter account and he stressed that the UN official is carrying out a wide range of activities here.

The day before, Espinosa was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez.

At the meeting, the first Latin American president of the General Assembly and the fourth woman in office recognized Cuba as an essential and strategic ally to strengthen the multilateral system.
