Diaz-Canel received Ivan I. Melnikov

The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, received Thursday Ivan I. Mélnikov, first vice-president of the State Duma and of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who is visiting our country.

During the cordial meeting they discussed the excellent state of the historical relations that exist between both governments and people. In addition, they exchanged on various topics on the international agenda.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by the deputy Dimitri G. Novikov, first vice-president of the International Relations Committee of the State Duma and coordinator of the Russia-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, as well as Andrei A. Guskov, ambassador to the Island.

On the Cuban side, Yolanda Ferrer Gómez, president of the International Relations Committee of the Cuban Parliament, also participated.
