Buenos Aires, Dec 10 (RGB) Cuban President Migel Diaz-Canel Bermudez will attend today’s inauguration of President-elect Alberto Fernandez and Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
On Monday, in the presence of the Cuban President, an act of solidarity with our country was held at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
According to the website of the Presidency of Cuba and the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Twitter, the ceremony took place in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the university in the Argentine capital.
“Evoking the memory of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro and his Latin American dimension, the Act began with the intervention of Eugenia Méndez, an Argentine graduate of the first graduation of ELAM and a member of the Solidarity Movement with Cuba. Argentina “Patria Grande”, refers to one of the messages on the social network.
On Monday, Díaz-Canel paid tribute to the victims of the military dictatorship and state terrorism, as well as to Argentine independence hero José de San Martín (1778-1850), father of the Argentine Republic.
He also had a meeting with some 40 representatives of the Argentine intelligentsia and with Argentine businessmen.
