Cuban Health Arrives in Mexico
José Ángel Portal, Cuban Minister of Public Health, today ratified the willingness to share knowledge and cooperate in various fields with Mexico under the principle of solidarity among peoples.
Portal, who heads an official delegation, made the offer during a meeting with representatives of the Presidency of the Mexican Republic, the Ministry of Health and the National Commission for Social Protection.
The minister cited as an example of this solidarity the more than 35,000 foreign health professionals who have graduated on the island, despite the effects of the U.S. economic blockade.
The Cuban delegation visiting Mexico has held several working meetings with government officials and a fraternal meeting at the Cuban embassy in that country, in which it gave an update on the functioning and results of the Cuban National Health System.
