Cuba will continue to develop despite US blockade

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said today that despite the tightening of the U.S. blockade, our country will continue its economic development.

Faced with the intensification of the blockade and the threat of making it total and complete, Cubans united will find solutions to the difficulties and will continue our economic development, he wrote in his Twitter account.
For almost 60 years, Washington has imposed an economic, commercial and financial blockade on Havana, catalogued as the main obstacle to the development of the Island.

One of the most recent actions evidencing the strengthening of American hostility was the activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, aimed at hindering foreign investment in the largest of the Antilles; in force since 1996, the regulations codify the siege imposed by the North American nation.
