Cuba uses new technologies to teach how to read and write
Cuba’s educational system updates with new technologies, the Cuban Literacy Method Yo sí puedo (Yes! I can make it), with which more than 10.5 million people in 32 countries learned how to read and write.
Nora Issac Díaz, of the Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of the Ministry of Education, said in Havana that the program is reduced to 46 video classes, with the participation of the moderator, the teacher, 5 illiterates and the facilitator, and the use of passbooks, tablets or cell phones.
He added that the initiative, in post-production process, will be available in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese, and it includes systems of exercises and contents that favor increasing living standards of students.
Cuba will once again make available to the world the Cuban Literacy Method Yo sí puedo, which corresponds to one of the Sustainable Development Objectives.
