Havana, Cuba. – Cuba’s results in the field of rehabilitation will be presented at a meeting to be held from October 1 to 4 at the Havana Convention Center.
The scientific program of the 9th Congress of the Cuban Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will focus on the advances and use of robotics, artificial intelligence and augmented reality in this specialty, announced the organizing committee of the event.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation develops a set of interventions to incorporate into their environment patients with disabling, congenital or acquired diseases or sequelae.
There are approximately one billion people with disabilities on the planet, most of whom lack access to appropriate medical care and rehabilitation services, according to the World Health Organization.
