Cuba is recognized for its priority to children
Havana, Cuba. – Cuba’s Health System won the 2019 Childhood Special Prize, awarded by the International Congress on Neurosciences and Childhood held in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia.
Orlando Terré Camacho, president of the World Association for Special Education, told Radio Reloj that the award is a recognition of the work carried out with children by the Cuban Ministry of Health, the good practices carried out at the International Health Center La Pradera and the Neuropoint Method Laboratory.
He underscored that these institutions serve a national and international child population as part of the human development policies carried out in Cuba.
When Terré Camacho and Jeanet Seoane received the 2019 Childhood Special Award, they expressed that the distinction shows Cuba’s high priority to health.
