Cuba and Angola reaffirm historical friendship bonds
The vice-president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, and his Angolan counterpart, the Minister of State, Frederico Cardoso, agreed on the importance of broadening economic and commercial relations to the level of those existing in the political and diplomatic fields.
During the opening in Luanda of the 14th session of the Angola-Cuba Intergovernmental Mixed Commission, Cabrisas expressed the Island’s interest in deepening bilateral ties on the occasion of President Joao Lourenzo’s next visit to Havana.
He also stressed the importance of intensifying the work of both parties in the preparation of the documents that will be signed during that visit.
For his part, Cardoso recalled how the friendship between the two nations was put to the test on the battlefields for independence, the protection of sovereignty and the various economic sectors.
