Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, an impregnable bastion of the Cuban people
Fifty-nine years after its creation, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) founded by Fidel Castro on September 28, 1960, continues to be an impregnable bastion in the defense of the interests of the people against possible criminal and counterrevolutionary acts.
Although today’s conditions are not the same as those of 59 years ago, the CDRs do not drop their guard, since the enemies of the Cuban Revolution concentrated in the Cuban-American extreme right of Miami, and in collusion with them the government of the United States, do not cease in the attempt for the island to submit to the imperial will.
Today the 59th anniversary of the CDRs was celebrated all over Cuba, as is traditional, there is always a neighborhood party from the early hours of the night until shortly after the beginning of the dawn.
In addition to the vigilance that is the main task of the CDRs, they carry out other tasks such as the voluntary blood donation, the collection of waste materials that serve as raw materials, and the cleaning and beautification of the community.
As long as the Cuban Revolution has enemies, there will be CDR.
