Argentina rejects new onslaught against Cuba

Buenos Aires, Argentina – The Argentine Workers’ Central (CTA) today expressed its absolute rejection of the new onslaught of the United States Government against Cuba through the activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act.

In a press release, this group highlights how the decision of this law aggravates, even more, the genocidal commercial, economic and financial blockade imposed against the Island almost 60 years ago.

The real objective is to increase the bolt policies applied against Cuba in order to destroy the revolutionary, independence and solidarity process that has triumphed since January 1, 1959, the text stresses.

It also points out that the Act – which has an extraterritorial character – fundamentally ignores the process of nationalization of assets carried out by the Cuban Revolution after its triumph.
