New edition of the Days for Cuban Culture
The 2019 the Days for Cuban Culture will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution and a group of art institutions created in 1959, including ICAIC, the National Press of Cuba and Casa de las Americas.
Closed anniversaries of the birth of great Cubans who left their mark on history and thought, such as the bicentennial of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and the 120th anniversary of Rubén Martínez Villena, are also grounds for commemoration.
Also essential are the dedications of these Days to the celebration of the centenary of Santiago Álvarez and Benny Moré, essential figures and references of our Cuban culture, according to the Cubarte portal.
From October 10 to 20, the date on which the broadest group of activities of thess Days are concentrated, the 151st anniversary of the beginning of the wars for independence will be celebrated in all the provinces, as well as the National Culture Day.
In the case of the capital, all its cultural institutions will also have as a special motivation the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the founding of Villa San Cristóbal in the coming month of November, so their activities will also be part of the tribute to the capital of all Cubans.
